This pattern expansion pack includes a pattern for long sleeves with cuffs, which can easily be added to our free pattern The Black Diamond Top! This PDF includes both a sleeveless, short sleeved, and a long sleeved version of the top. The Black Diamond top is a versatile top that can be dressed down or up depending on choice of sleeve length and fabric.
We wanted to honor our homecity of Copenhagen for the first few pattern pieces that we will be introducing as the designs are inspired by Scandinavian design.
Sewing level: Beginner
This pattern is a beginner’s level. The more difficult techniques required to create this top is inserting an invisible zipper, sleeve plackets, and bias binding (optional).
Fabric type: Light weight to medium fabrics with some hold.
Sizing & fabric requirements: See photo.
Notions: Thread, 45 cm or 18 inches long invisible zipper, light weight fusible interfacing, 230-290cm or 90.5-114 inches bias tape (optional for hemming), and 55cm or 22 inches fusible bias tape (optional for neckline).
Techniques used: Pleats, sleeve plackets, facings, invisible zipper, and bias binding (optional).
This PDF pattern comes with instructions for both metric (centimetres) and US imperial (inches). Templates are printable on both A0 and A4 format.
